The Gajalaxmi Puja Committee and the Matrushakti Mahasangha celebrated a three-day Gajalaxmi Puja Mahotsav at Bhoi Sahi near the Baramunda Bus-Stand here from October 13 to 15.
Social Security and Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities Minister Ashok Chandra Panda and the local Corporator inaugurated the Mahotsav and praised the organising bodies for holding such a programme.
They also felicitated the winners of a competition in which more than 400 Self-Help Groups’ (SHGs) members had taken part recently.
Among others, Matrushakti Mahasangha president Renubala Das, secretary Sabyabhama Bhoi, Gajalaxmi Puja Committee Secretary Soumya Ranjan Das, members Rakesh Bhoi, Sanjay Behera, Fakir Bhoi, Anil Behera, Rabindra Bhoi, Santosh Bhoi, Bikram Bhoi and Ratikant Behera were present.
