Gadkari to visit State on Jun 10

Union Road Transport and Highways and Shipping Minister Nitin Gadkari would visit the State on June 10 to share the Union Government’s and particularly his Ministry’s achievements with people of the State.

However, his visit would be confined to a Press conference and an interaction with intellectuals. There would be no Vikas Utsav or rally, sources said.

The sources said though the BJP had decided to organise a Vikash Utsav rally at seven places in the State to highlight the NDA Government’s successes on the occasion of its second anniversary, but it is not possible due to infighting in the party.    Earlier on Monday, two Union Ministers Narendra Singh Tomar and Krishan Pal Gurjar, who had been scheduled to attend the party’s Vikash Utsav in Rourkela, cancelled their visits after local MlA Dilip Ray boycotted the event protesting the delay in upgradation of the Ispat General Hospital (IGH) as promised by the PM a year ago.
