The Paralakhemundi Model police on Sunday arrested a woman and her minor nephew for burglary of gold ornaments worth Rs 2 lakh from the house of a woman, Binodini Gantayat (80), at Anga Sahi in Ward No-9 here on September 15.
The police also recovered all the stolen properties from the accused woman identified as Achatala Satya.
Police said the accused with the help of the minor boy had broken the almirah lock in the house of Gantayat while she had gone to Visakhapatnam for treatment.
“During investigation, we found that the accused with her nephew had broken the lock of almirah containing ornaments in the house of Gantayat while she had gone to Visakhapatnam for treatment,” said Gajapati SP Sarah Sharma addressing a Press meet here.
