Missing AIIMS Bhub-aneswar student Suhail’s father Aijaz Ahmed left Bhubaneswar for his hometown in Jammu & Kashmir on Thursday night.

Expressing disappointment over the Commissionerate police’s investigations which have so far failed to trace the boy, Aijaz still said, “We have not lost hope though one month has passed since Suhail’s disappearance.”

Aijaz stated the family is completely clueless about the whereabouts of Suhail and people of his entire Kupawara district are praying for his safe return.

“Though authorities had informed that Suhail’s last location was traced to Kolkata, it is still not clear whether it was Suhail himself or his phone that reached there as police have not been able to find any other evidence,” he said.

However, he refuted reports that his son was abducted by Maoists. He said Commissionerate police top officials have ruled out the kidnapping theory.

Notably, a team of Odisha police on Thursday left for Gurugram in Haryana, where Suhail was reportedly last sighted.

Suhail had left the AIIMS hostel on February 9 after informing the authorities that he was going to Chandigarh with his friends to attend a wedding and would be back on February 17.

later, the institute authorities lodged a complaint with Commissionerate Police after Suhail did not turn up at the college on February 18.
