Food Supplies and Consumer Welfare (FS&CW) Principal Secretary Pradipta Kumar Mohapatra on Saturday reviewed implementation of the NFSA, paddy procurement, payment of crop loss compensation to affected farmers and anti-flood measures with district administrative officials here on Saturday.
The Secretary emphasised on lodging cases against ineligible NFSA cardholders who are yet to return cards despite notices.
He asked the district Collector to submit a report to the Government soon conforming that no ineligible NFSA cardholder remain in the district by this month-end.
Mohapatra, who was a former Collector of Jagatsinghpur, too held discussions with engineers regarding irrigation facilities in the district.
He expressed displeasure when he was informed that Daleighai embankment repair works and an under-construction bridge over Biluakhai at Kantilo were yet to be completed.
District Collector Yamini Sarangi, SP Sudha Singh, OSDMA Assistiant Director Pl Behera, Sub-Collector, DRDA PD, District Civil Supplies Officer Raghunath Goumanga, Executive Engineers and BDOs were present.
