The Bramhapur Sabuja Bahini, the NTR Seva Samiti and other organisations celebrated the Friendship Day here on Sunday.
Brahmapur MP Chandra Sekhar Sahu, MLA Bikram Panda, Ganjam Collector Vijay Amruta Kulange, Brahmapur Municipal Corporation Commissioner Chakravarti Singh Rathore, former MLA Dr Ramesh Chandra Chyau Patnaik, former BDA Chairman Subash Moharana and DEO Sanatan Panda attended as guests.
They tied friendship ribbons at a banyan tree situated Ramalingan tank road with a message to create friendship with trees.
An awareness rally was organised which started from the BeMC office via Ramalingan tank road, Girija square, urban bank road, Annapurna market, fire station road and culminated at the old bus-stand square.
