As many as 375 freedom fighters’ family members were felicitated by the Jajpur Collector at Adampur in Rasulpur block in a special function organised by the Swadhinata Sangrami Saheed Smruti Sansad (SSSSS) to mark the Kranti Divas.
The yatra which was started from Janata Maidain on August 9 here under the leadership of Sansad founder president Rutuparna Mohanty culminated at the Adampur. The yatra was kicked off by Transport Minister Ramesh Chandra Majhi.
Tourism and Culture Minister Ashok Chandra Panda, Bhubaneswar MlA (North) Priyadarshi Mishra, BMC Mayor Ananta Narayan Jena, Dabungaon MlA Bhujbala Majhi and senior BJP leader Biswabhusan Harichandan also attended the inaugural event in the city. Holy soil from 14 martyrs’ memorials was collected on the occasion.
