The Sand and Neel Foundation and the Lions Club of Brahmapur Galaxy jointly organised a free bone marrow density detection camp at Patro Hospital here on Saturday. Total 30 patients were identified with the decease.
Dr Sankarsan Patro, renowned Orthopedist provided required medical advice to the patients and gave medicines to all the elderly and vulnerable persons to prevent future complications like fracture.
Social worker Lion Dharma Rao coordinated the event.
An awareness programme on filaria, fever were also conducted along with free BMD check-up in the health camp. Prabir Patro, HK Misra, Kailash Mohanty, Niranjan Behera from Meyervita Biotics, Pune and Narayan Baditya conducted BMD testing.
CDMO Shamir Shadmani and Jhili Rout spoke on how to eradicate and control filaria by taking medicines in mass mobilisation in urban and rural area.
