Though scientists have made many inventions which increase the lifespans of human beings, till now no alternative or cure has been found for blood. No scientist has been able to create blood, which is the most unique substance in the body.

According to the patient’s needs, blood is administered. If a patient has transfusion of blood of a wrong group he or she would surely die. A, O, B, AB positive and A, O, B, AB negative are the eight types of blood groups categorised and tested by scientists.

Keeping this in view, a free blood grouping camp was held on Tuesday by the Indian Social and Charitable Trust at the Adibasi Padia here under the guidance of social worker Sushanta Sahoo. A total of 110 people from the village Khandalei had blood grouping tests, from which A+ is 35, B+ is 23, O+ is 39, AB+ is 13.

Indian Social and Charitable Trust president Puspanjali Panda, managing trustee Bikram Kesari Swain and social workers Priyabrata Panda, Bijay Dash, Sanjay Dash, Ashalata Dash and Khandaleie Project Primary School Headmaster Pabitra Mohan Nayak were present.
