The BJP on Wednesday demanded that 12 persons, including BJP Kendrapada district president Duryodhan Sahu, arrested in connection with the April 18 assault on Marshaghai BDO Susanta Kumar Pati be released immediately.
“The district Collector has already blamed the Marshagahai BDO and has also recommended action against him. However, the Government has taken a revenging action on innocent people who exposed Pati. This is undemocratic and BJP condemns this act,” party spokesperson Sajjan Sharma said in a Presse release.
Sharma said BDO SK Pati and his associates are the main culprits and they should be punished instead of the innocent people who exposed his ‘unlawful’ EVM manipulation act.
