The 9th World Atheist Conference held at Vijayawada, AP, discussed threadbare the necessity of scientific outlook and secularism in India and the world.

A three-member delegation of the Freethought Party of India (FPI) joined it and gave a strong view for spread of ethical atheism and creation of a democratic world Government to clearly stamp out the religious fundamentalism and other brands of violent extremism.

General secretary B Ramchandra CST Voltaire laid bare the fact that all atheists are not peace-loving humanists and the atheists who are not ethical in their conduct and attitude have caused much senseless bloodshed and committed huge acts of corruption to capture power and harm not only world peace but also have caused wanton destruction of public property and human resources.

Ramchandra CST Voltaire, who is also founder secretary of AMOFOI, was honoured by guests like Dr Volker Mueller of Humanist Freethinker Association, Germany, Alfred Harald Petzold, Member of Parliament, Federal Republic of Germany, Robert Rustad of Norwegian Humanist Association, Norway and Aron Ra, president, American Atheists, Texas State, USA for his unique achievement in organizing over 6,490 secular dowryless, casteless, priestless love marriages by exchange of garlands over the last 35 years..
