The Freethought Party of India (FPI) condemned the presence of Petroleum Minister Dharmendra Pradhan and former Minister Bhakta Charan Das at a blood donation camp whose organisers are criminals.
Pradhan and Das shared the dais on January 10 last in the blood camp function organized by the Dhalasamanta Brothers on behalf of their Cuttack Nagar Yuvak Sangha.
FPI general secretary B Ramchandra CST Voltaire said political leaders should not attend function of the criminals as the latter invite them as guests to seek their support. He regretted that without verifying the antecedents, political leaders are supporting them which proves they have little respect of ethics and morality in politics.
“For clean politics there must be a code of conduct for all party functionaries. Our political leaders must get committed to ethical politics and they should never get their public image tarnished by associating themselves with the criminals like Dhalasamanta Brothers who have been accused of murder and extortions,” said a FPI release.
