FPI opposes Ratna for Jaya

Published on:

The FPI has opposed conferment of Bharat Ratna on former Chief Minister late J Jayalalitha. Jayalalithaa used to conduct herself as a demigoddess but indulged in corrupt activities and lived lavishly. She was crazy to have adulation in full measure, said an FPI release.

As she was “bribed” heavily she made a corrupt officer as Chief Secretary by overlooking  the claims of 20 senior IAS officers and got the incumbent Chief Secretary  K Gyanadesikan shunted to a much less important position like the CMD of Tamil Nadu IDC, it said.

She should never be given Bharat Ratna by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Modi may be requiring the support of AIADMK MPs in both the Houses of the Parliament. In lok Sabha the AIADMK is having 37 MPs because of our faulty system of election. But he should not bargain with these MPs. As Prime Minister, he should uphold the highest values of the Indian republic, it added.
