The Freethought Party of India (FPI) has fielded Madam Swapna Bijayini for the Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC) Mayor post.
On March 20, she visited Tarini Bustee, Ward No. 63 and convinced the residents to cast vote in her favour.
She gave promises like promoting English medium education for each and every child, a 3-bedroom house for every family living in slums, love marriage offices in each ward to fight caste system, love hostels to provide social security to couples who marry by challenging existing social system, no harassment on grounds of caste, religion and status, besides promoting one-child family.
