The Baleswar district administration has suspended Kalicharan Majhi, head of a Sevashram school, Ramchandrapur in Bhograi and dismissed school matron Sushama Sahu and cooks Bandana Singh and Parbati Singh on the allegation of negligence in their duties following the death of a Class-V student, Jhumuri Hansda.
The girl had been admitted in the DHH after being transferred from the Jaleswar CHC and died during treatment of illness on Monday. District Welfare Officer Rajiv Lochan Sahu informed about the action taken against the employees on the charge of dereliction of duties.
