Four delinquents managed to escape from the State Juvenile Home here in the early hours of Saturday by breaking building walls.
Based on a complaint lodged by in-charge of the Juvenile Home (Bal Aparadhi-Orphan Home) G Sharimila, the Baidyanathpur police registered a case and started investigation into the incident. One out of the four delinquents, Chandan Behera, was arrested by the police while search operation for the other three was on and they would be nabbed soon, said city SDPO Thakur Prasad Patra. Out of the remaining three delinquents, one was involved in several cases of robbery and another had reportedly attacked the Warden of the Home.
Such frequent escapes of delinquents from the Juvenile Home are a cause of worry for the police and the juvenile watch and ward authorities.
