Forward Bloc to fight for alternative Govt in State

The Forward Bloc will continue its fight to bring an alternative Government in the State,” said All India Forward Bloc (AIFB) national general secretary Debabrata Biswas while inaugurating a State-level meeting of the party here on Sunday.

Biswas alleged that the BJP Government at the Centre and the BJD Government in the State are working as agents of corporate houses.  He said the industrial houses with the help of the Government have looted natural resources in Odisha massively, as a result of which the State would become very poor. Biswas said his party would not accept the decision to give the Bharat Ratna award to its leader Subhas Chandra Bose. “Instead of giving the award to our leader, the Government should declare his birthday, January 23, as ‘Patriotic Day’,” he said.

AIFB State convener Purna Chandra Padhi said the party would fight against the BJD Government which is involved in corruption. It would begin a movement to save lands, farmers, forests and environment with the help of people, he added. CPI State secretariat member and former AISF State president Jyoti Ranjan Mohapatra joined the party with his supporters at the meeting.  Among others, youth leader Jitendriya Behera, farmer leader Narendra Mohapatra, Susanta Parida and Arati Devi were present.
