Former Advocate General Asok Mohanty on Sunday presented himself before the CBI team here inquiring into the mega chit fund scam in the State and surrendered hispassport.This was in accordance with the terms and conditions attached to the bail granted to Mohanty by the Khordha District and Sessions Court.
After reporting to the CBI officials, Mohanty told the media that he is very unhappy with the manner in which the Central investigating agency has handled his case. He suffered a huge loss of face and has been defamed in the eyes of the people because of the “improper and biased manner” in which he has been framed, he said.
“I will seek judicial redressal at a higher court, if necessary,” he said.
