A joint team of the Bhubaneswar Smart City ltd and the BMC conducted an eviction drive and cleared footpaths and cycle paths of encroachments from Master Canteen Square to Saheed Nagar on Wednesday.
The squad demolished an extended shed of a hotel in front of the Central School, five standing signboards at Gurudwar and a ford selling counter of the Ford vehicle and removed 22 vendors as well.
The special joint squad (SJS) of the BDA removed eight advertisement banners, five old bikes, two tiffin stalls and a signboard form footpath and cycle path from New Air Port Square to Patia and Patia to New Air Port Square.
The administrative officer of the Koil Campus located in Patia was requested to allow students, guardians and customers visiting the Allahabad Bank to park vehicle inside the campus. The officer personally visited the area and assured in this regard.
