Many supporters of departed Congress leader lalatendu (lulu) Bidyadhar Mohapatra on Tuesday tonsured their heads as a mark of respect to him on the occasion of his Dasaha (10th day after death) at the Bindusagar pond here.
Among those who tonsured their heads were Kiran Sahu, Ajay Kumar Panda and Ashok Nayak, all members of the lulu Sena.
“lulubahi was our elder brother and political guru. Though he dedicated his entire life for the Congress party in the State, yet he got nothing. Rather, he was being humiliated by the PCC and AICC leaderships. We urge the PCC and AICC leaderships not to show any indecency to the departed soul anymore, else we will check them in our ways,” warned Kiran Sahu.
Meanwhile, Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan visited Mohapatra’s village Gadarodanga under Puri district’s Brahmagiri block and consoled the bereaved family members.
Similarly, senior Congress leader and leader of Opposition Narasingha Mishra, Aama Odisha Party chief Soumyaranjan Patnaik and senioer BJP leader Bijay Mohapatra attended a condolence meeting held at Khordha and paid tributes to Mohapatra.
