FM College students resent FOB closure

Published on:

A Foot Over-Bridge (FOB) which was built out of MPLAD fund for the students of the FM College is lying inoperative for more than a year without a valid reason. The FOB has been built on the busiest road of the town which connects Station square with Gadagadia square which further leads to the Chandipur beach, the defence establishments and the Balarmgadi fishing base, besides other thickly habited villages. The FOB was necessitated as the road separates   Commerce block, boys’ hostel and Plus II Vocational College from the main campus establishments, including the administrative office. Since the students have to go frequently from their campus to the main campus for different reasons, the road crossing was posing a threat to the safety.  In the past, several accidents occurred on the stretch. The students and teaching staff too encountered traffic jam inconveniences.
