Noted social activist and Maa Ghar chief Rutuparna Mohanty, who had alleged that the State Government hatched a conspiracy to hush up the Kunduli gang rape case, welcomed the decision of Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik to order a judicial probe into the ‘incident’ on Wednesday.
However, she said earlier also many judicial and Crime Branch (CB) probes have been ordered, but the probe findings are either gathering dust in the files or have been put in the cold storage.
The Government should take seriously the minor girl’s plight and the trauma she is undergoing now and ensure that justice is done to her at the earliest. For that, the Chief Minister should ensure a time-bound inquiry, Mohanty said.
