Seventy-six State civil service qualified candidates are in mental stress and agony as their appointment has been delayed. They have been moving from pillar to post but without any result.
They have been struggling to get job since 2011. The Odisha Public Service Commission (OPSC) had advertised for 494 posts against vacancies in the year and these candidates had qualified in the examination.
After final round of the examination, the result was declared for 418 in 2016 and the result of rest 76 was kept pending.
Several aspiring candidates had moved the Odisha Administrative Tribunal for justice and the verdict came in their favour in 2016. However, the State Government moved the Orissa High Court against the order, but the court clearly gave the verdict in favour of the candidates and kept the order of the OAT and
directed to the OPSC to declare the list of the remaining candidates.
Unfortunately, the appointment of pending 76 candidates has not been completed after five months of final result publication. Meantime, the selected candidates have already been meeting many times to the Joint Secretary and the Principal Secretary of the General Administration Department and the Chief Secretary but in vain.
