A five-month old baby girl died after her 23-year-old mother dashed her on the floor at Jaitpur village under Gunga police station area on Thursday.
According to the police the mother Savita Ahirwar of the deceased threw the baby girl on the ground after having a bitter fight with her husband Mukesh Ahirwar. The baby was rushed to a nearby hospital where she was declared dead.
After the preliminary investigation the body was sent for the post mortem. The police have registered a case under section 174 of the CrPC and have started further investigation.
In the initial investigation police found that Savita after having fight with her mother-in-law left the house with her baby for her house in Nepania Jaat and when her husband got information he found her and tried to pacify her but she was not ready to return and when her husband ask to leave without the baby she threw the baby on the ground which proved fatal for the baby.
Police said that case under section 302 of the IPC would be registered in the later investigation. The post mortem report is awaited.
The deceased sustained severe injuries in her head which proved fatal for her.
The victim used to have frequent fights with her mother-in-law but the police were not able to reveal the reason and would investigate the same. The family works as a labour. The couple had one and a half year old boy and the baby from their marriage.
