Milita Odisha Nisha Nibarana Abhiyan, an anti-liquor organisation on Thursday began its 5-day Padayatra seeking complete prohibition of liquor selling and creating awareness among locals avoiding liquor consumption.
Former MlA Padma Charan Nayak led the rally accompanied by many Sarvodaya activists, including members from a few NGOs. Speaking on the inauguration event, the leaders of the outfit informed that the Padayatra would cover about 12 districts across the State and culminate at Cuttack. Sources added the Padayatra began from district headquarters here and moved to Kendrapada district.
