A day after a fire mishap occurred at the Sadguru Covid Hospital at Jagatpur, Fire Services personnel on Tuesday carried out safety audits and mock evacuation drills at several Covid Hospitals and Covid Care Centres (CCCs) across the State.Teams of fire officials conducted mock drill at Ashwini Covid Hospital, Aditya Ashwini, SUM and KIIMS Covid Hospitals in the twin city and reviewed preparedness at the facilities for any eventuality. They also examined fire safety gadgets and trained the hospital staffs about their usage.
Such mock drills were held at the Salandi Covid Hospital and Bhandaripokhari CCC in Bhadrak district, Phulbani Covid Hospital in Kandhamal district and Covid hospitals at Sitalapali, Kanisi and MKCG Hospital in Ganjam district.
The mock evacuation drill was also carried out at Jeypore Covid Hospital in Koraput district and Nimapara CCC in Puri district.
