Prafulla Kumar Biswal, Assistant Fire Officer, Bargarh, was arrested for accepting a bribe of Rs 28,000 from complainant Dillip Kumar Sethi. He demanded the sum of money for submission of site inspection report along with NOC for setting up a lPG gas godown at Ghasian village under larambha police station in Balangir district.
The Sambalpur Vigilance sleuths conducted the trap after registering a case. The accused was forwarded to the Court. Biswal’s residential Government quarters at Bargarh and his native house located at village Ranipal under Dhenkanal Sadar were being searched.
