A fire broke out in the battery room of the dialysis unit of the VIMSAR, Burla on Friday morning, triggering panicamong the patients and the attendants.
Though no causalities havebeen reported, property worth lakhs of rupees were gutted in the incident, sources informed. The patients and attendants of patients of the High Dependency Unit (HDU) and the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of VIMSAR first noticed the smoke emitting out from the dialysis unit and informed the security guards and other staff of the hospital who later informed the firebrigade.
