The BJP youth wing on Monday brought out serious allegations against the State Government for cheating educated unemployed youths without providing any jobs.
The wing lodged an FIR against CM Naveen Patnaik, Science and Technical Education Minister Sanjay Dasburma and BPUT Vice-Chancellor on the same ground.
During 2014, a notification was released by the State Government inviting applications from candidates for jobs in various sectors. Accordingly, as many as 48,000 applicants applied for jobs giving fee of Rs 100 each. Due to some technical errors in the BPUT website, the proposed interview could not be conducted.
After BJP youth forum highlighted the issue, the Government has announced to refund fees to the candidates but has not assured to conduct any job fair. The students have lost two years’ of valuable times, alleged the BJP youth leaders.
Among others, Bablu Singh, B Bhol, Bablu Jadab, KM Singh and Siba Sankar Munda went to the Jharsuguda police station and lodged the FIR.
