FIR against super, invigilators for aiding cheating

Rajnagar tehsildar Hrushikesh Rath on Friday lodged an FIR against Keredagada-based Jagannath High School centre superintendent Prafulla Kumar Patra and two invigilators, Banamali Mohanty and Digambar Swain, for allegedly aiding and abetting malpractice in English paper during the HSC examinations.

The police have registered a case against the three persons under Section 9 of the Orissa Conduct of Examination Act, 1988. No arrest has been made as a probe is on, said the police. 

When contacted, Kendrapara district education officer (DEO) Markat Keshari Ray stated that the errant center superintendent had been withdrawn and a new superintendent has been appointed in his place.
