Bharatiya Bikash Parishad State president Surendra Panigrahi filed a FIR on Monday against former J&K CM and now MP Farooq Abdullah, for provocative public speech against the interest the country.
The FIR was filed by Panigrahi based on some media reports, the FIR stated. Panigrahi alleged that Abdullah in his interview to some electronic media reportedly held the Center’s decision to abrogate Article-370 responsible for Chinese aggression at the LAC in Laddakh.
Panigrahi also alleged that, Abdullah reportedly said that, “China never accepted” the abrogation of Article-370 and hoped that the same will be restored in J&K with China’s support. Panigrahi said Abdullah was advocating the restoration of Article-370 of the Constitution of India not by Constitutional means, but through the use of external and foreign forces particularly by seeking help from China with whom the Indian Republic is currently entangled in a war-like situation.
The very act of Abdullah has hurt the public sentiments in India and it is a challenge to the sovereignty and territorial integrity of the country.
The Parishad submitted a copy of the FIR to the Secretary, Union Ministry of Home Affairs, Chief Secretary, Odisha, Director General of Police (Cuttack), DIG Police (SR) and SP of Police District, Brahmapur for their information and necessary action.
