A Finland team belonging to M4ID, which had paid a visit to Baleswar in the first week of November last year following invitation of local MP RK Jena for peripheral health infrastructure, has agreed to extend support from its end.
In a letter, CEO and co-founder Mari Tikkanen said that the team would be supporting healthcare system for next six months, with suggested changes in existing infrastructure and dealing with patients, mainly pregnant women and their disposal at a few healthunits.
“We have put together our own team and developed a solid plan for the realisation of the project which will seek to support the dialogue on quality of care improvements. We need to proceed with a fairly swift pace so as to complete work by November,” Mari said.
It may be noted that a team from Finland, which included Melanie Wendland and Nicolas von Flintter had studied the existing healthcare facilities.
The team after visiting some peripheral hospitals as well as the district headquarters hospital (DHH) had a discussion with MP Jena and the then CDMO Dr Bhabani Shankar Pani. M4ID is globally known for its service design solutions for development and health initiatives.
