Gorashamati Majhi, a resident of Bhuruamunda under Nuapada district’s Sinapali police limits, has urged the labour Commissioner to conduct an investigation into the reported killing of her husband Habelal Majhi in a brick kiln in Chennai.
In a letter, Gorashamati informed the Commissioner that her husband, Habelal Majhi, had been taken to Chennai by five Sardars namely Ratan Bag, Bishi Kata, Shishu Bag, Arjun Bag and Jadu Bag to Chennai on August 28, 2017 to engage him in the RS Bricks as a worker.
However, she recently got to know that they (Sardars) have killed her husband. When asked, they told her that they along with the brick kiln owner have sent him back to village by a train.
“I request you to conduct an investigation and make me know whether he (Bahelal) is alive or dead,” Gorashamati urged the Commissioner.
