A microfinance company employee, Sasikanta Mallick, a resident of Kuakhia village under Jajpur district, was arrested on the charge of kidnapping a minor girl.
Sasikanta was working in a finance company for past three years and was working in Jagatsinghpur district. While performing duty he came contact with a woman who had obtained loan from the finance company. For collecting loan, Sasikanta had been visiting the woman's residence regularly. Later he fell in love with the woman’s minor daughter. Surprisingly, the minor girl was found missing in her residence on December 14.
The father of the minor girl had lodged an FIR in this regard after failing to trace the girl. Taking clues from the missing girl's parents, the police rescued the victim from Jajpur and picked up Sasikanta from there. The accused was forwarded to court on Saturday.
