A staff of a finance company had a close shave when he was shot at by unidentified miscreants during a loot bid under the Soro police station in the district on Wednesday.
The victim was identified as Prashant Sahu.
The incident occurred in broad daylight at Nayakbandh Chhak in Soro.
According to reports, three miscreants on a Bajaj Pulsar motorcycle chased and opened fire at the employee of a finance firm at around 2.00 pm at while he was on his way to Soro after collecting money from Dandaharipur village.
Out of five rounds of bullets, one bullet hit the motorcycle of Sahu following which he jumped down from the motorcycle and sustained injuries. The miscreants fled from the spot by hijacking a motorcycle from another person at gunpoint. Later, the victim was rushed to the Soro Community Health Centre (CHC).
Following the incident, the Soro police rushed the site and launched an investigation.
