The final national final voters’ list was released by the Central Government on Tuesday. Election Commission of India had earlier released a revised list on February 14. The electoral data as per the final publication shows that there are a total of 81.45,91,184 registered electors in the country.
Out of this, the 28 States together account for 98.27 per cent of the electors while the seven Union Territories account for the remaining 1.73 per cent.
In Odisha, the total number of voters stands at 2,88,80,803, of which the male voters number is 15,038, 356 and the females account for 13,841,339. Besides, the number of the ‘others’ category in the voter list stands at 1108.
However, Uttar Pradesh with over 13.43 crore electors or 16.49 per cent of the national electorate has the largest number of electors. Similarly, Sikkim with around 3.62 lakh electors or 0.044 per cent of the national electorate has the smallest number of electors.
