The State Government has decided to make cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar’s biopic “Sachin: A Billion Dreams” tax-free. This announcement was made by Finance Minister Sashibhusan Behera here on Tuesday.
Being an icon of inspiration for the youths, the Government decided to waive the entertainment tax on the movie, which captures the cricketer’s journey of life.
“The movie which has been made on the cricketer’s life has been made entertainment tax-free. It’s definitely good news for the youth of the State,” said Minister Behera.
Apart from Sachin, his wife Anjali, son Arjun and daughter Sarah, the movie also features former Indian team skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni and swashbuckling opener Virender Sehwag. The biopic is scheduled to be released on May 26.
