Hinjili-based Nrityam Kala Gabeshana Kendra (NKGK) chief and renowned short film producer and director Krishna DK has been invited to participate in international FIVS film festival at Tunisia in North Africa.

Sending an invitation to Krishna DK, the director of the international festival Walid Ben Hassan said, “We are happy to invite him (Krisha DK) in our country Tunisia. We and our team are happy to meet him.”

Notably, Krishna DK who hails from Hinjili has made a number of short films, bringing national and international awards for the State of Odisha in general and Ganjam district in particular. His most popular short film “Ananya”, which is based on awareness for Swachh Bharat, had influenced the jury at the Tunisia film festival. The film was cast by Madhusudan Mishra and Sonam Sahu, while Krishna DK was the director.

Krishna DK will be the first person or artist to attend the Tunisia festival. He will be making his first trip as a film director from Odisha. However, the only barrier is funds problem. Krishna, therefore, has appealed to the State Government to sponsor his trip and hopes that the State Government would consider his request.
