Nabarangpur MP Balabhadra Majhi has urged the Union HRD Minister to take urgent steps for filling the vacancies in various Central Government educational institutions under his constituencies.
In a letter to the Union HRD Minster, Majhi said that his constituency comprising Nabarangpur, Koraput and Malkangiri districts is very backward. However, growing vacancies in institutions like the Kendriya Vidyalayas in Nabarangpur and Malkangiri and the Central University of Orissa at Koraput have acted as a big stumbling block in imparting education in the tribal belt.
He said that there are 14 vacancies of teachers out of 26 including the post of Principal in KV at Nabarangpur. likewise 16 out of 29 posts of teachers at the KV at Malkangiri are on contractual basis. Besides, all the 23 posts of Professors, 42 out of 43 posts of Associate Professors and 16 out of 88 Assistant Professors in the Central University at Koraput are lying vacant. The vacancies in the institutions are harming the students’ education very badly, he said and requested special initiative to fill up the posts on priority.
