The All Odisha Power Engineers’ Federation held its executive committee meeting here on Sunday.
The meeting organised by the Southco Power Engineers’ Association was presided over by federation president Biswaranjan Mishra.
Irregularities in consumption of power in the State and future course of action of the federation were the focus point at the meeting.
The members have demanded filling up the vacant posts in power distribution companies (discoms), filling up of the junior class posts as per the State Government rule and promotion.
Federation general secretary Brahma Prakash Paital lamented that even as 20 days passed since the association submitted a memorandum seeking early fulfilment of their 22 demands, no action has been taken yet.
Among others, Jagannath Barik, Pravat Kumar Dash, Ananta Kumar Bisoyi, Tanmaya Mishra, Sunil Kumar Swain and Pravat Kumar Kar were present.
