Security of courts came under scanner after the record of a case has been missing from a court of Baleswar since December 19 which is to be traced yet.
According to reports, a record pertaining to an election matter was kept in table of the bench clerk of Junior Division Civil in the court room. However, it went missing mysteriously.
The CCTV footage of the court room while was scanned, it reportedly showed a person accompanied with another man stealing it in a bag.
On suspicion, he was caught by the advocates when he was sitting in a tea stall near the court. They took him to bar and began to interrogate. However, he denied his involvement in the case and maintained that he had never come to court on the day it was stolen. Meanwhile, the Sahadevkhunta police, although no formal complaint was lodged by the court staffs, have begun an investigation.
