Faulty results: Students meet K’kote Varsity VC

Published on:

Groups of Plus Three students from the Binayak Acharya College, Gopalpur and the Government Science College, Chhatrapur on Tuesday met and complained to Khallikote Cluster University Vice-Chancellor Prof Amarendra Narayan Mishra that results on many students have been found faulty during the last three years, pushing their future to sheer darkness.

In many cases, it has been found that students securing more than 80 per cent failed as less than pass mark awarded to a single paper or D Grade given to them. As a result, a full one-year of such students have been spoiled. Besides, publication of all Semester results at one time has put mental pressure on students. Results are being published online sometimes and offline some other times, they alleged.

The students requested the VC to publish results of all Semester examinations on time and flawlessly. They even threatened to take to the streets if any discrepancy is marked in upcoming result publications.

Later in an official statement, the VC said the university has always published the results of the three affiliated degree colleges on time and would continue to do so for bright future of students. All steps would be taken to resolve the complaints of the students. Results of students who have back papers in prior Semester examinations would be republished within a week’s time, assured the VC.
