Farmers in Bargarh have expressed concern over an alleged anti-farmer attitude of the authorities in procuring Kharif paddy though three long months have passed since the procurement process started. While the mandis are getting closed and token period expired, farmers are in real dilemma over where they will sell their produce as storage will be a big problem for them. Agitated over the unnecessary delay, farmers under Ambabhana block took the drastic step in dumping their stocks of paddy on the road in front of block and tehasils office that led the closure of Government offices in the area on Tuesday. The protest was organised by the Lal Bahadur Shastri Krishak Sangathan.
