The Navnirman Krushak Sangathan on Friday slammed the State Government for the prevailing paddy procurement problem and alleged that the Government is not serious for farmers.
In a Press release, the Sangathan said, “The ruling BJD during its election campaign in ‘March had made tall promises for betterment of farmers’ conditions. But now, farmers are crying over the mismanagement in procurement of paddy across the State.” The Sangathan demanded immediate solution to all the issues of the famers’ community.“The Chief Minister should convene a meeting of the Agriculture Minister, Chief Secretary and other concerned officials to sort out at least the prevailing paddy procurement issue soon,” it demanded.
