Farmer leaders led by Debashisha Hota got warm welcome atDhenkanal arailway station after their return from Delhi.
The team had gone to Delhi to meet several Union Ministers and MPs, besides holding a stir at Jantar Mantar highlighting the problems of the tribals and farmers of Dhenkanal district. About 300 people from all over the district received the team.
During their visit to New Delhi, the delegation demonstrated at Jantar Mantar and gave memorandum to the Prime Minister and the President of India, besides meeting Union Tribal Affairs and Panchayatiraj Minister V Kishore Chandra Deo, NCST Chairperson Dr Rameshwar Oran, social activist and Rajya Sabha MP AV Swamy and Kisan Morcha Pravari and Rajya Sabha MP Parshottam K Rupala. The team got positive response onits demands.
