The Maa Ghara Foundation, Koraput unit, organised a family unification programme at the Apple Villa in Semiliguda on Saturday with foundation’s chief Rutuparna Mohanty attending the event as the chief guest.
The women activist advised the body’s members to work on prevention and protection of women and prosecution against their culprits.
Maa Ghara, Koraput president Sanjukta rani Sahu presided over the meeting, whereas Jharsuguda unit president Padmini Singh attended it as the guest of honour. Koraput unit Vice-President Shaheda Parween and General Secretary Rekha Patnaik also spoke.
Members of seven disputed families attended the counseling session and most of them went back to their homes happily with the appeal of the Maa Ghara luminaries.
