In a shocking incident, a person allegedly killed his one-year-five-month-year-old baby boy over a family dispute in Mayurbhanj district on Tuesday.
The baby was son of lachhman Patra and Jyotsna of Jodapokhari village under the Rairangpur police limits. According to reports, Jyotsna was staying at her father’s house with her son following a quarrel with lachhman.
However, the dispute between the two had got settled on Sunday, following which Jyotsna came back to her husband with her child.
On Tuesday morning, Jyotsna noticed that the baby was not making any movement; so, the child was taken to a nearby hospital where the infant was declared brought dead by the doctor on duty.
She has alleged that lachhman killed the baby by throttling him over the family dispute.
Villagers nabbed lachhman while he was trying to flee the spot and handed him over to police. The police have started investigation into the incident.
