The World Population Stabilisation Fortnight, 2013 was observed in Bargarh from June 27 to July 10. On the occasion, a meeting was held at the District Medical Training Unit on Friday under the chairmanship of CDMO Dr Jagdish Mohanand, where it was decided to undertake sterilisation or family planning drive for 1,425 persons in Bargarh.
During 2011-12, the Government had targeted to conduct operation on 5,986 persons but about 5,826 had undergone the surgery. Among others, ADMOs Dr GS Nath, Dr Bhima Sahu and Dr Kulamani Nayak were present.
