A community awareness programme of family counselling center of the Indian Red Cross Society, Odisha State Branch was organised at Janla. local residents, including adolescent girls, women leaders and volunteers were involved. The main objective of the awareness programme was to promote family counselling.
Chairperson, State Social Welfare Board, latika Pradhan inaugurated the programme as the chief guest. She explained the role and the objective of the family counselling center and informed all present to take the benefit of family counselling and other community welfare programme of the Red Cross.
The programme was coordinated by the councellors Bijaya laxmi Kar and Priti Pragyan Dash. They discussed on various issues related to family counselling including dowry victims, extra marital affairs, economic crisis, mental illness and interference of in-laws etc.
