Excise personnel on Wednesday night arrested one Rajendra Sahu and seized fake foreign liquors worth Rs 3 lakh from him while conducting a raid in his house at lima village under the Kundra police station in Koraput district.
A team of Jeypore excise officials led by SP Rabi Prasad Patro conducted the raid basing on information from locals. The seized items include 580.7 bl of whisky and 202.500bl of beer, 2,690 caps of old scot and 403 caps of AC neat, informed the SP.
“He was manipulating the quality of the liquor by adding water and repacking it, then sending it to the market” said the SP. He has been arrested and forwarded to court, he added.
